The latest changes in regulation in relation to carrying of certain gadgets both in USA and UK has been a matter of concern for many a people. Some are confused regarding which are the ones to carry and the others are in deep trouble as it has been quite a practice to carry them. Keeping this in mind there has been many an issue related to the passengers who used to finish the unfinished work during the long flights and even others who used to pass the long boring time in the flights by using gadgets like the tabs as well as the laptops. Thus, people of certain countries, from now on, are facing quite a lot of issues regarding the flights which are mainly long international ones.

USA: – As far as the changes in regulation in the US is concerned, all electronic devices which are larger than a smart phone like laptops, tabs, e-book readers, DVD players, etc. can no longer be carried on board. From now on these gadgets needs to be carried in checked baggage in the US bound flights from 10 different destinations in Africa and the Middle-East. The list includes huge names like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, which are famous for being the hubs of Emirates and Etihad Airlines. It also includes the Hamad International Airport, Doha the home of Qatar Airways. The names that complete the list are big ones including the Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan, Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport located in Morocco, Cairo International Airport of Egypt, Kuwait International Airport situated in Kuwait City, Kuwait, and finally huge impact names like Saudi Arabia’s King Abdul-Aziz and King Khalid International Airports in Jeddah and Riyadh.

UK: – United Kingdom, on the contrary, has imposed the rules not on specific airports but it has enlisted names of the specific countries like Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Turkey. What this has managed to do is put a larger impact on the travelers from the above mentioned destinations to their country. Their similar ban includes electronic devices larger than 16cm in length, 9.3cm in width and 1.5cm in depth. If these criteria are not fulfilled, the devices can only be carried in the checked baggage and not the baggage you carry to the aircraft cabin. But the positive has been that the bans does not imply in Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Morocco which mean that passengers are free to travel in big names like Emirates, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, Qantas, British Airways and many more.

Passengers of many other countries along with the names already mentioned above have been facing this issue for quite some time now. Passengers of countries like Australia, India and many other Asian destinations, who don’t have the option of booking a straight flight to either UK or USA most of the time and have to break their journeys in one of the above mentioned destinations would also be covered under the similar rule. Thus, this would even affect them directly.
